When a mask just isn't enough... call the FUNHOUSE FX Team.

You are in business to scare people. But the key word here is BUSINESS. It's hard enough designing and operating a professional Haunted Attraction or Theatrical Production without having to plan and execute your makeup effects as well. In twenty minutes the doors are opening, the curtain is going up, your production manager is on the radio yelling that actors are out of place, the fogger in the vortex just fried, and the queue is around the block. The last place you want to be is chained to a makeup chair slinging blood. You've got a real job to do and you want to get to it.

And then there are cost considerations as well. Do you have enough blood? How much is enough? Do you have enough appliances? Do you have the right kind of makeup and please God do you have enough?

Do you know how to design and apply high-volume, high-production-value effects makeup that will look correct under the show lighting you have designed? And is this really the time to learn?

And if all that is not enough to convince you that this time you need to hire professionals, then consider this. Masks suck. They suck for your actors (which is why you so often catch them with their masks off) and they suck for you. Masks are very expensive, they often look like crap, and it's a sure bet that your actors will not treat them with the respect and care that they need.

So do yourself AND your actors a favor. Leave the masks at Wal-Mart and blow your customers minds. In the image gallery linked above you will find a dozen or so images we have taken over the years. We're not photographers, we're makeup artists, so please excuse the poor quality of the images.
